Arrow Season 8: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

Arrow's impending conclusion was something that even the less-devoted fans of the superhero series found hard to process simply because it had become such a staple of the genre, so the fact that it has officially left our screens still doesn't feel real.

The silver lining in the show's final bow, however, lies in just how bloody brilliant that final bow was. The truth is that Arrow was something of a divisive show that offered up multiple solid seasons (and one dreadful one) and was bookended by three fantastic offerings. Yep, that's right, imbued with the urgency of the Crisis, Oliver Queen's swan song was the best that the show had to give in a very long time.

Season 8 wasn't your typical adventure, and that's probably what made it so damn good. That being said, one element that allowed the show to thrive this season was its characters. An important factor in every show, no doubt, Arrow hasn't always made the best use of them - more often than not because it just had too many of them - but the final season allowed it to set that right.

Connor Hakwe looked set to play an even bigger role in this season's flash-forwards as he never wavered in his desire to see the best in his evil brother J.J. However, upon being zoomed to the present, he quickly found himself swallowed up in the midst of the Crisis-centric madness.

There were moments of brilliance, such as his attempts to get to know his adoptive father John Diggle in the present (before he adopted him), but considering Joseph David-Jones was promoted to a series regular this season, it would have been nice to see a little more of him (though given all that went down, it's understandable that we didn't).
