Arrow Season 8: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

Lyla's devotion to her cause has always made her come across as untrustworthy even though her heart has always been in the right place and, as infuriating a character trait as this was for those around her, it made for some of the best material in terms of her and John's relationship. However, her cause in Season 8 was that much more important which meant that she behaved that much more shifty.

The reveal that she was working with The Monitor was both a celebration of her shady-for-the-greater-good behaviour and the setting of the stage for her to finally take up the mantle of her comic book counterpart Harbinger. This gave Audrey Marie Anderson the chance to finally take the character to the next level and, in doing so, she produced some of the most enjoyable moments of the season.
