Arrow Season 8 Review: 6 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Leap Of Faith'
2. The Future Is Not Set
If you've just about managed to pick your jaw up off the floor after that shocking conclusion, let's delve into it a little bit and how it ultimately benefits the show going forward.
Somehow, William, Mia and Connor have been transported to the past (or should that be the present?). That means when we last saw them, they were literally standing across the room from their fathers. However, they were also standing across the room from Zoe's father - as in Zoe who just died in the arms of Mia seconds before they were magically moved to another time.
A long-awaited change-of-pace that makes the flash-forward narrative 100 times more relevant now, it appears that this trio of heroes will now be able to change the future, wipe the grim Star City 2040 from existence and save Zoe (and JJ) in the process. On another note, it also gives Mia and William a chance to bond with Oliver, and Connor a chance to bond with Diggle - something we've all been waiting to see. And it even answers how Mia will be joining forces with Laurel and Dinah for the Green Arrow and the Canaries spin-off.
The third game-changing cliffhanger so far, this season of Arrow just gets better and better.
