5. Laurel And Lyla Team-Up

One of the more unexpected alliances came when A.R.G.U.S. Director Lyla Michaels showed up in Hong Kong to assist Laurel in figuring out a way back to Earth-2. Well, at least that's what it was supposed to look like - in reality, she was there to help her deal with the grief when she finally accepted that her Earth was gone.

The pair proved to be a formidable duo, and it was nice to see two of the show's longest-running (and best) actresses, Katie Cassidy and Audrey Marie Anderson, share such an extended period of time on-screen together. Not only did they look incredibly badass together, the things they had in common also made them unlikely friends.

Having both lived through insurmountable loss, they bonded on a level that only they could have, and it produced one of the episode's most engaging narrative threads.
