Arrow Series Finale: 10 Huge Questions Answered By The Show's Producers

For years, speculation has run rampant about John Diggle really being comic book character John Stewart (a.k.a. Green Lantern) with the prevailing theory being that he chose to change his surname as a child. Fuel was added to the fire when Earth-1's Flash asked where his ring was during last year's crossover and the finale ended with a meteor crashing to Earth and John opening a box with something glowing green inside it.

He's totally the Arrowverse's new Green Lantern now, though, right? Everyone involved chose their words carefully but Diggle's relocation to Metropolis may end up playing into the now confirmed Superman & Lois series, the perfect place to explore his heroic transformation.

"It was something that was worked out over a year ahead with DC Entertainment," Guggenheim explains in regards to how this cameo became a reality. "We very specifically negotiated and discussed the parameters, and I feel like to say anything beyond what we have showed you would violate our agreement with DC." It's a tease which needs to be paid off but it could be a case of keeping your fingers crossed for now.
