Arrow Series Finale Review: 12 Ups & 4 Downs From 'Fadeout'

9. The Post-Crisis Changes

Arrow series finale Moira Queen
The CW

It really must be said that the use of the old Emerald Archer documentary at the beginning of the episode was a great device on the writers' part in order to relay some of the necessary information in regards to the changes that Crisis On Infinite Earths made to the timeline.

Moira Queen's death remains perhaps the most shocking moment in Arrow history - one that sent chills down the spines of every fan watching and changed the direction of the show forever - so it was wise of the show to reveal that this was the first major change simply because it reinforced how Oliver had the power to change some of the most catastrophic events.

Sure, it still doesn't make sense that he didn't bring back Laurel, but everything from Moira, Quentin and Tommy's resurrections to the change of Emiko's fate were much welcome alterations - giving us one more chance to spend time with some of Arrow's most beloved characters.
