Arrow Series Finale: What Does The Ending Really Mean?

6. Dinah's Quest For A New Purpose Leads To 2040

Green Arrow and The Canaries Dinah Drake Juliana Harkavy

In spite of all the successes of a Crisis-free world, SCPD Captain Dinah Drake found herself feeling purposeless. Though she had been offered a promotion to Chief of Police, she didn't feel she could offer anything to a city without crime. And with that, she decided that she would hit the highway in order to find new opportunities.

We already know where those opportunities will lead because, as the Green Arrow and The Canaries' backdoor pilot revealed, the day after Oliver's funeral this Black Canary wakes up in 2040 with her complete existence erased.

Nobody knows how or why it happens yet, but as she soon finds herself owning a bar called The Fish Net and is given a new opportunity to save Star City alongside Laurel and Mia, it's safe to say she gets that purpose she's been craving.
