The return of adult Mia in the present-day may have given the emotional young woman a chance to say goodbye to her father, but it also presented the show with one last opportunity to set up Arrow spin-off Green Arrow and The Canaries.

As last week's backdoor pilot revealed, William was kidnapped by some unknown assailant in 2040 - leaving Mia doubting her ability as a hero because she'd been unable to track him down. However, the young William's kidnapping in the present gave her the chance to prove herself as a hero - something she did in a way that would have made Oliver proud.

There's no going back now; Mia Queen is the Green Arrow, and she'll stop at nothing to get her brother back. Here's hoping we get to see it all play out on Green Arrow and The Canaries in the future.
