2. John Diggle Is The Green Lantern

In what might just be the greatest moment of fanservice of the year so far, Arrow only went and confirmed that John Diggle is Green Lantern. Years of speculation had fans convinced that Oliver Queen's long-standing right-hand man was the Arrowverse's answer to John Stewart - something that became so much more tangible when his stepfather was revealed to be General Stewart.

Diggle's arc in the finale revolved around his refusal to believe that Oliver's mission was over because even though the city was safe, he still wanted to honour his best friend's memory by carrying on that mission. And now, in the most unexpected of ways, he has the chance to do just that as his discovery of the Lantern ring has given him the power.

Whether or not we'll ever see a David Ramsey-starring Green Lantern series remains to be seen (oh hi HBO Max), but one way or another, this scene will go down in history for the sheer magnitude of what it accomplished: John Diggle Stewart as Green Lantern is officially canon!
