Batman: 10 Lessons Gotham TV Series Can Learn From Arrow

8. Fit It In With Other Shows On The Network

Arrow3 One of the keys to Arrow's success is that it fits in with the rest of the CW lineup like Vampire Diaries and Heart of Dixie. While this means a reliance on soap opera elements that don't exactly seem to gel with the Green Arrow mythos, it does succeed in bringing in the networks all-important key demographics. For Gotham on Fox, this means fitting in more with crime procedurals like Bones and the Following. A show about a young Jim Gordon in Gotham City would fit in perfectly with these shows, while offering something a bit different in the use of supervillians. Victor Zsasz could give the Following's Joe Carrol a run for his money in the prolific serial killer department.
