Battlestar Galactica: Every Starbuck Episode Ranked Worst To Best

Unfinished Business finally explains what went on in the missing year on New Caprica. While much had already been suggested, it had never been truly made clear. There are many flashbacks dotted throughout the episode - including an explanation as to how Chief Tyrol ended up on the surface and a deepening of Adam and Roslin's relationship, but it is the romance between Apollo and Starbuck that finally wills out.

Many shows fall into the trap of having their lead characters end up together and many shows fail to do it convincingly. Thankfully, Battlestar Galactica avoids some of the obvious pitfalls. While it looks like Lee and Kara have finally found peace together, she panics and runs to Anders, marrying him in a whirlwind and breaking Lee's heart in the process.

Their bout in the ring seems like the perfect way for these two characters to blow off some steam, though of course it is deeper than that. They have been hurt by each other over and over, though rarely have they come to blows. Here, after an hour of taunting and jeering, they finally face off - and the entire hanger deck witnesses their resolution, including a very angry Anders and a deeply hurt Dee.

While it came at the cost of others, seeing them make peace with finally cathartic.
