Battlestar Galactica: The Wildly Varied Career Of Lee "Apollo" Adama

Lee Adama is still serving as commander of the Pegasus when the Colonial Fleet discovers a new habitable world. Eventually giving up the search for Earth, and colonizing this world instead, the settlers name their home New Caprica.

The series then jumps forward abruptly a year in the story, revealing that Apollo had remained on the Pegasus and gotten married to his lover, Anastasia “Dee” Dualla, who is now his Executive Officer as well as his wife.

Later stories reveal that Lee had made the commitment to Dee only after being effectively rejected by Kara Thrace. This creates an ongoing tension that will haunt their entire marriage.
