7. Commander Of The Fleet (Exodus Part One—Season 3, Episode 3)
Months after the Cylons arrive and occupy the Colonials’ new home,
the skeleton crews still on board the Fleet ponder whether there is any
hope of rescuing the people of New Caprica. Unwilling to risk everyone,
Admiral Adama orders his son to take command of the Fleet while he and
the Galactica attempt to enact a rescue mission. Apollo is ordered to continue the quest for Earth should Galactica not
return.
Ultimately, Apollo disobeys his father’s orders, bringing the Pegasus back to New Caprica at a critical point in the operation. In the end, thanks to his daring and potentially reckless actions, the Battlestar Pegasus is lost, but the Colonists are saved.
