Batwoman Season 1: 3 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Who Are You?'
Batwoman introduces another DC villain in a solid outing.

The debut season of Batwoman has been something of a mixed bag. A show that undoubtedly shows a lot of promise (and is a heck of a lot better than its original trailer portrayed it to be), it tends to find itself hampered by a number of rushed storylines and wooden characters.
That being said, as Kate Kane overcomes a number of hurdles in her career as a rookie superhero, it is beginning to overcome a number of its own teething errors and is slowly evolving into a series that is capable of capitalising on that potential. It's growing as a superhero show, yes, but it's also beginning to explore different character dynamics while continuing its impressive habit for non-stop reveals.
The latest installment, 'Who Are You?' is a vast improvement over last week's problematic adventure. It isn't without its faults, but it does successfully use a gimmicky villain-of-the-week character in order to let Kate learn about the pros and cons of being Gotham City's watchful protector, while once again using Alice to continue the show's main narrative. With that, let's jump right in.
