Batwoman Season 1: 8 Easter Eggs & References You Might Have Missed In 'Pilot'
5. Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Bat
During Alice's interrogation of Kate, you can see the words "Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat" spray-painted on the wall of Burnside Orphanage. Now, while the fact that this is the name of a poem recited by the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland is undoubtedly a reference to Alice's obsession with that classic book, the poem also has quite the history with The Dark Knight.
The poem is recited by Batman in a Season 1 episode ("The Pharaoh's In A Rut") of the classic 1966 TV series as he appears to go mad at the hands of King Tut. It's also quoted by the Mad Hatter in an episode of Batman: The Animated Series and the Riddler in 1995's Batman Forever. Furthermore, a variation of the poem is recited by The Joker in 2011 video game Batman: Arkham City as he sings "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Bat. Watch Me Kill Your Favourite Cat."
