Batwoman Season 1 Review: 9 Ups & 5 Downs
6. The Action Scenes
With Arrow's run having officially come to an end, the Arrowverse looks more 'super' than ever, so it's only fitting that there's a show set to carry on its grounded, gritty approach (at least until spin-off Green Arrow and The Canaries hopefully comes along). And, for the moment at least, Batwoman is definitely that show.
Part of what made Arrow both of those aforementioned things was its many action scenes which evolved over its eight-year run as Oliver Queen and his team got physical with some of Star City's worst, and it's safe to say that the latest entry in this shared universe has carried on that legacy.
With expertly-choreographed routines and some innovative camerawork - not-to-mention a number of impressive one-shots - Batwoman's fight scenes make for thoroughly entertaining moments whenever they pop up in the opening or closing moments of an episode, either giving us an idea of what we're in for or finishing out the adventure in style.
The Bat-Family are all about the fisticuffs and Kate can clearly throw punches with the best of them.
