Batwoman Season 1 Review: 9 Ups & 5 Downs

2. It's Not Immune To Plot Conveniences

Over the years, the Arrowverse hasn't been afraid of relying on a convenience or two in order to weave its plot together. Be it a costume suddenly becoming weaker than it was before or a villain always finding ways to escape against a supposedly 'game' team of heroes, plot armour tends to make itself comfortable on these shows, and unfortunately, Batwoman isn't entirely immune to that.

It doesn't happen as often as it does on its predecessors (yet), and if you're not looking for it, you probably won't find it. That said, there are moments in which characters behave out of character for no reason other than the requirements of the plot, and their overall lack of reason can become quite bothersome.

Again, not constant... but it is there.
