Better Call Saul: 10 Best Episodes So Far
7. Wexler V. Goodman
The best episode in Jimmy & Kim's tale together, the one that told the audience just how she feels about him.
Previously, we have seen Kim have a wild side, one that indulges Jimmy's cons and even joins in with him. But when a choice has to be made on her morality, she chooses wisely and decides not to blackmail Kevin to make him settle for more money. Telling Jimmy this, she expects the issue to be over.
However, Jimmy just doesn't listen to her and goes ahead with his scheme to get as much as possible out of Kevin without Kim knowing until they are in the room together. Kim has to go along with it and when she and Jimmy get home she is so angry that she tells him straight out that they need to split, since she can't be complicit in his plans - or they need to get married. Which would stop her from having to testify against him as his wife.
It shows that Kim gives Jimmy the choice on them being together, knowing which one he'll take because she knows him. So, in a way, Kim makes her decision on her own morality and sacrifices it for him.
Kim knew what Jimmy had become here, which is why the title of the episode, Wexler V. Goodman is so brilliant. She wasn't facing down Jimmy in that room, she faced down Saul.
