Better Call Saul: 10 Best Episodes So Far
6. Something Unforgivable
There is something about season finale's that Better Call Saul just gets right. Every single season has felt like it ended in the middle of a story, not like it was finishing a chapter of a book.
Well, season 5 was no exception and the great tragedy of it was that it marked the downfall of the once virtuous Kim Wexler. She went from being good and honest to the cunning and unscrupulous mind that she always had somewhere inside of her. Her ability to manipulate people and get her own way had been touched on before but grew through season 5 and she ended up becoming that what she had long fought Jimmy not to be.
More than that, the shootout at Lalo Salamanca's compound where he takes out a professional assassination crew is just epic. Firstly, because nobody expected him to survive, and secondly, because of what it now means for Nacho. His name has been marked and he has a very capable and annoyed Lalo on his tale.
Whilst Nacho and Lalo's story got the fireworks, it's Kim that takes the biggest plunge and there has never been a moment quite like it when a character you didn't expect to turn, turned.
