Better Call Saul: 10 Scenes From Breaking Bad That Need Expanding

3. Mike's First Clean-Up

CommonsAMCIt has been established that Saul has a history with Mike Ehrmantraut by the time Mike is introduced in the Season 2 finale (ABQ), but how long that history is and what it involves is entirely speculation at this point. In a key moment, Mike bursts onto the scene to clean up Jesse's mess of a dead Jane. This is one of the most interesting ideas upon which Better Call Saul can expand upon and it seems certain that it will. Jonathan Banks has been hired, presumably to reprise his role as Mike Ehrmantraut, yet Gilligan claims that with eight episode already written, no characters have been brought back yet from the original series. The question remains when and how will Mike fit into Saul€™s world of 2002? A good guess might be as a season finale reveal with Saul making his first contact with the Juarez cartel and meeting Mike just before the season fades to black. Regardless of how it occurs, it is exciting to think about it happening at all. Expanding Mike€™s backstory and how it intertwines with Saul€™s is something fans would love to see for the pure joy of it, not to mention its importance to the overall enrichment of the Breaking Bad legacy.
