Better Call Saul: 10 Season 6 Fan Theories (That Could Come True)
5. Lalo Works Out Gus's Overall Plan And Dies
Lalo is still alive and well, which is surprising considering the attempt on his life. By now, unless he is a total moron, Lalo knows that Fring hired the men. In addition, he also now knows that Nacho may have been an undercover spy for Fring.
Lalo Salamanca is a man that, like the rest of the Salamanca flock, is capable of unspeakable violence with zero remorse. As such, he is going to want retribution for the attack that has killed members of his family. In other words, he will surely move on Fring at some point.
At present, Gus's larger plan of taking down the whole organisation is unknown to all except himself, Mike and the audience. However, what if Lalo manages to work this all out - then what?
We know already that Gus succeeds in his plot and kills the whole Salamanca family, sans Hector, with whom he dies in a murder-suicide. This does all point, then, to Lalo's death at some point in Season Six. Whether it will be at the command of Juan Bolsa, Gus Fring, or even Don Eladio himself, that's uncertain. Any one of these is possible, as it is hard to see Eladio trusting Fring as he did In Breaking Bad if he had any lingering doubts about who killed Lalo.
Lalo working out what Gus is up to and not being able to tell anybody, due to him either being not believed or most likely dying, would be a great end to a charming and suave villain.
Likelihood: 6/10
