Better Call Saul: 10 Theories For How It All Ends
6. Mike Saves Gus & Kills Lalo
Perhaps the biggest plotline driving Better Call Saul's final season has been the war between a presumed dead and vengeful Lalo Salamanca, and a paranoid Gus, who's enlisted Mike's help to bring the psychotic cartel boss down.
Since his debut on the spin-off, Lalo has been Better Call Saul's most enigmatic and damaging foe, a violent force of nature whose loyalty to his family and the cartel has driven him to murder and into hiding, where he's stewed in his rage long enough to concoct a plan to bring Gus's empire down.
Given his actions indirectly led to the death of Nacho earlier in season six, and his unpredictability and power has made Gus of all people seem genuinely scared, it would make perfect sense that Mike -- bitter about Nacho's fate and loyal to Gus -- will be the one to take him down so he doesn't live to see the events of Breaking Bad.
Seeing Mike kick some ass one last time would be quite the treat, and it would explain why Gus is so loyal to him, since he saved his life from a terrifying adversary.
