Better Call Saul: 8 Questions Season 6 MUST Answer
1. What Happens To Gene?
The final question to be asked of Better Call Saul, what does happen to our eponymous character. We all thought that the show's openings were just a brief glimpse into Gene's life and what Saul and Jimmy became. However, they turned out to be a story in themselves. One that will equal out to about an entire episode in length by the time Better Call Saul finishes, further testament to Gilligan and Gould's brilliance.
Saul's Breaking Bad ending wasn't his true fate, we know that now. So, what does happen to him? There are so many theories that have attempted to predict where Jimmy 'Saul' 'Gene' McGill will end his journey, none of which carry much weight because it is such an open-ended field.
Does Kim come and get him and they live happily ever after, does he die in a shootout with the cops, will he just drop dead on the spot? What is his plan that made him reject Ed Galbraith's extraction option on the phone?
Jimmy ended up becoming Saul Goodman, who ended up becoming Gene Takavic. Will he slip into another skin and slide away, or is this it for the once-promising lawyer Jimmy McGill?
When season 6 answers this question it is likely that everything else will have come to pass and Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and El Camino will have been wrapped up in a neat and tidy package.
Which, knowing Vince Gilligan, will probably then lead us into Gus Fring's own spin-off.
