Better Call Saul: 8 Questions Season 6 MUST Answer

Where Is Kim Wexler In Breaking Bad?

Better Call Saul
AMC

Better Call Saul has become one of those rare spin-off series that could be arguably better than the show it span-off from. That may sound like madness, but many of Better Call Saul's ardent fans have stated that they believe that Better Call Saul is better than Breaking Bad.

Other than the show's creator's and main cast, it's funny to think of the fans' immediate reaction to hearing the news that they were doing a spin-off based on Saul Goodman was one of disappointment. Well, nobody is disappointed now, and as we slowly approach the 6th and final series of Better Call Saul, there are major questions that need to be answered about its direct link to Breaking Bad.

We have been through the initial shock of finding out that Saul Goodman's real name is, in fact, Jimmy McGill and that he was a street hustler in Chicago before becoming the slick lawyer we knew him as. As well as the fact that he had a brother called Chuck, who was a wise, Mycroft-esq character, not that Jimmy was ever a Sherlock.

So, with all that Better Call Saul has put us through, we now approach the endgame (technically both endgame and middlegame but still) and several questions remain on just where, what, and how this all links into the ballad of Walt & Jesse.

8. What Is Ice Station Zebra Associates?

Better Call Saul
AMC

Ice Station Zebra Associates is a long-running mystery in the Breaking Bad universe. It is the shadow cooperation by which Saul Goodman avoided taxes and lauders his money when we are first introduced to it in Breaking Bad, however, Walter White goes in another direction and it remained a mystery after that.

However, in Better Call Saul we do see more of this company in season 2 when Kim and Jimmy con somebody out of $10,000 and the cheque is made out to Ice Station Zebra Associates. Now, at this point, Jimmy doesn't have any companies made up to suit his tax evasion means, mostly because he has no money to speak of. The mystery thickens when we see that Jimmy and Kim are watching a film called Ice Station Zebra which is based on a book of the same name.

Every single time that Ice Station Zebra has appeared in Better Call Saul, Kim has been a part of the scene. Now, it's worth mentioning that there is a common theory that she has always been Saul's shadow partner and ran Ice Station Zebra Associates in Breaking Bad whilst staying out of sight.

Season 6 must deal with what this company is and why it appeared at all in both Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, surely a mind like Vince Gilligan's won't just leave this be.
