Better Call Saul: Everything We Know So Far

3. Mike Ehrmantraut Is Back

One of the best selling points of the show €“ other than the return of Saul €“ is the chance to see more of Jonathan Banks' delightfully spikey hitman/enforcer Mike Ehrmantraut, who bowed out of season 5 of Breaking Bad. Mike was basically Vince Gilligan's fixer €“ like Tarantino's Wolf €“ who was resourceful, committed and viciously effective when the job required it. He also wore the scars of his past, even if they only burst out of his mostly detached surface on rare occasions, and it is very intriguing to consider another look at his journey to becoming the man we saw in Breaking Bad. Depending on how far back the show goes, we could see some focus on Mike as a beat cop (as he mentioned in season 3 of Breaking Bad) but it would make more sense that the hitman has already been forced to break bad himself before the show kicks off, and will play a similar fixing role in the spin-off. So what does that mean for his old boss?
