Better Call Saul: Everything We Know So Far

2. Gus Frings Wants To Return

Given how successful Breaking Bad was, it seems obvious that the show's former actors would be excited about the prospect of working with the same people again, and the prequel status obviously also allows for the possibility of even the long-dead characters to return. And that could be good news for Giancarlo Esposito €“ and his fans €“ who has become the latest Breaking Bad actor to confirm that he would love to return to what he acknowledges was one of the best roles of his career:
€œMy people have talked to his people. They€™re in the writers€™ room now so they have to formulate exactly what the show is but they€™ve asked if there would be any interest if they were able to figure it out. I always would love to return to them because I think Vince is brilliant at what he does and I love the cast that he put together. To be back with the Breaking Bad family is a very specific and very wonderful way to work.€
There's something intriguing in the idea of seeing how Frings built his empire now that the mystique of the character has been broken by Breaking Bad, but however it's done, the key would be clever writing, which is surely a nailed on certainty anyway, as Esposito confirmed:
€œThese writers are really good and they have a great way to be able to truthfully bring someone back.€
And Mike and Frings might not be the only Breaking Bad veterans to return...
