Better Call Saul: Predicting The Fate Of Every Main Character

S'all Good Man!

AMC

It's hard to think that looking back just 5 years ago we really weren't sure on why Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould had decided to make a spin-off from Breaking Bad that concentrated on the lawyer. However, here we are 5 years later and boy are we glad that they did.

Better Call Saul has become a juggernaut in its own right, without having to be mentioned in the same breath as its predecessor. The show has continued the quality that made the tale of Walt & Jesse so brilliant, yet it has forged its own path at the same time, taking characters we loved from Breaking Bad and giving them even more depth and backstory.

We have also been introduced to a few new people along the way. The likes of Kim Wexler and Nacho Varga have become fan-favourite characters and a great amount of thought has been put into predicting what will become of them by the fans. Since we never saw either of them in Breaking Bad it is getting more and more tense whenever we see them in life-threatening situations because in true Vince Gilligan style they really could go at any moment.

Kim's dressing down of Lalo Salamanca, Lalo's own attempted assassination - both reeked of series enders for them, however, they survived to live another day.

So, just what will happen to those who's fate we don't already know? Let's play the prediction game, shall we..

5. Howard Hamlin

Better Call Saul Nacho
AMC

Howard has not had an easy run of it through Better Call Saul, he has been tricked, played and manipulated at every turn without managing to find solace, in-spite of desperately trying to.

First, he was the puppet of Chuck McGill, who wanted to keep Jimmy down and out of HHM, then he was caught in-between the battle that the brothers waged against one another. Which ended when Chuck killed himself.

Many would have thought that Howard then would have been able to move on from Jimmy and the McGill war but alas it wasn't to be. Howard still has something that Jimmy wants, something that has been hanging over Jimmy's head for a long time now, his share of the Sandpiper money. As soon as that case is settled then Jimmy becomes a rich man because of the percentage he gets of the final cut.

Kim and Jimmy were last seen scheming together on a plan to make Howard settle the case sooner rather than later. That coupled with Howard's own mental struggles through the show, what with his insomnia and all, would surely be enough to push him over the edge.

Prediction: Suicide
