Beyonce Life Is But A Dream Documentary: Top 5 Insights

2. Beyonce Loves The Sisterhood

Beyoncé and Solange Bey talks about how much she values the advice, strength and experiences of women. If her countless female empowerment songs aren€™t telling enough of how she feels about her fellow woman (Run The World (Girls) for example) this statement she made surely confirms it;
€œI love my husband, but it is nothing like a conversation with a woman that understands you. I grow so much from those conversations."
She spoke upon the struggles of womanhood;
"It€™s difficult being a woman. It€™s so much pressure, and we need that support sometimes, we€™re all going through our problems, but we all have the same insecurities, abilities and need each other. It really pisses me off that women don€™t get the same opportunities as men do, or money for that matter. Because let€™s face it, money gives men the power to run the show. It gives men the power to define our values and to define what€™s sexy and what€™s feminine and that€™s bullshit. At the end of the day, it€™s not about equal rights, it€™s about how we think. We have to reshape our own perception of how we view ourselves.€
I must admit, it is so refreshing to hear a woman talk about women in such a positive manner. We are so accustomed to hearing about catty exchanges between divas (particularly in pop, R&B and rap - yes I'm talking about you Nicki Minaj and Mariah) and not that of support and unity. You go girl!
