Beyonce Life Is But A Dream Documentary: Top 5 Insights

1. Beyoncé Wants Another Baby

Beyoncé baby The miracle of baby Blue Ivy Carter seems to have made Beyoncé very keen on the idea of having another child. The Queen had this to say when questioned about how big the Carter family was going to expand to in the accompanying interview with Oprah;
€œI definitely want another child."
In several interviews over the years Bey stated she wanted to have her first child before she was 30 years old €“ she miscarried at 28 years old and bought Blue Ivy into the world at 30. Life is But A Dream showcases how maternal she felt during her pregnancy, the bond she has with Blue Ivy and how protective she is with her. It was a real treat to see rare film footage of Blue Ivy in the documentary. Mama Bey was dressed casually in her home looking beautiful with box braids, barefoot and holding Blue up for the viewers to see her. Let€™s be real, any child birthed from her divalicious womb is going to be gifted - genetics pretty much confirm that. Life Is But A Dream was promoted by HBO as "an intimate, revealing documentary€ €“ this is partly true - but just how intimate can it be when the fiercely private star of the documentary has full control over the content? The film offers up a touch of intimacy however suffers from too much reinforcement that Beyoncé is one of the greatest pop stars of today. We already know she is brilliant €“ perhaps she wasn€™t the best person to determine what viewers and fans wanted and needed to know about her? Nonetheless as a hopeless fan of Beyoncé I appreciated the sliver of insights she carefully served up in the 90 minute film. Did you watch Life Is But A Dream?
