Black Mirror: 6 Best & 6 Worst Inventions
5. WORST - Social Rankings
How personable are you? Do you have a pleasant laugh or does it drill through the spines of all who hear it? Are your clothes always perfectly laundered and ironed, or do you occasionally leave the house with visible creases? Are you always polite to people, even when you've had a bad day or can you sometimes not be bothered?
How about how visibly you lead your perfect life? Do you take perfect shots of your food and upload them to social media? Are your kids always doing something so cute it almost seems manufactured? Are your pets cute enough and do they have the outfits that suit them?
Based on the social credit system that's actually in place in real-life China (and one that is worryingly being spoken about around Britain), Nosedive sees social media likes taken to the extreme. And that's terrifying.
