4. BEST - Full Immersion Care Homes

As health care gets better and life expectancy gets longer, many of the elderly are finding themselves living longer and more fulfilling lives, finding themselves just as strong at ages far beyond those their parents managed to survive past. Many, but not all. There are still those who suffer from chronic disease and infirmity, yet who cling on to a life that has become nothing but pain for them. That's right folks, it's going to be a happy entry here.

The honestly quite beautiful San Junipero offers an elegant solution to this problem with full-immersion old people's homes. Those who are too elderly or too infirm for real-life can opt to enter a virtual reality program that takes them back to an era best described as a mash-up of their youths (imagine the memory of about ten years culture all smooshed together as a single year) where they can meet other people in the same situation.

Reverted to their youthful selves once more, they can live out a life that they understand amongst people they understand. And, when their time finally comes, they can be permanently uploaded into the system and live with their loved ones forever.

No, you cried.

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
