Blindspot Coming To The Marvel Netflix Universe?
There's (Potentially) A New Defender In Town.
Daredevil scribe Charles Soule has confirmed via Twitter that Samuel Chung (AKA Blindspot) will be appearing in the second season of Iron Fist (which releases in all of twelve days).
For those of you who haven't been reading Soule's run on Daredevil, Samuel Chung is an illeagal immigrant living with his sister (who is in the US legally) in New York. Chung works as a cleaner at Columbia University and during his time there he has managed to aquire various technological components, which he has then used to create an invisibility suit.
Using said suit, he fights crime in Chinatown, until, on one fateful night, he meets Daredevil, who later takes him on as a sort of apprentice, the man without fear improving Samuel's skills as a combatant and teaching him what it means to be a hero.
So, while we may not know how similar the character will be in the upcoming Iron Fist, Daredevil season three will follow soon after (as confirmed by people who already have the review copies of it), giving the potential for the dynamic between Blindspot and his comic book mentor to appear on screen.
