Breaking Bad: 10 Reasons Why It’s The Best Show in T.V History

8. The Supporting Cast

I€™ve heard people say they€™re not into Breaking Bad because it€™s too slow. To be honest, I can empathise. Breaking Bad is slow, but its slow in the same way a good Western is. It€™s slow because it takes its time. It takes its time to establish its concepts, its themes and most importantly, over its run it€™s taken its time to fully flesh out its many supporting characters. Let€™s recap a few of them. You€™ve got Hector Salamanca, the living wheelchair bomb; you€™ve got the Schrader€™s, Walter€™s in-laws; how about Ted Beneke? He stirred the pot for a while there; don€™t forget Gale Boetticher, who€™s puppy dog affections for Walter made his murder at Jessie€™s hand all the more heart-wrenching; and you can€™t forget Saul Goodman, who may be the most hilarious T.V lawyer I€™ve ever seen. And this is just a shortlist. There have been many, many supporting characters throughout Breaking Bad€™s tenure on our screens and I€™m ecstatic to have met each and every one of them.
