7. The Carnage
Again, I really can understand why some people find Breaking Bad to be slow moving. Its subtle. Theres a lot there beneath the surface and even above the surface, but were drip-fed it over long, drawn out, tension inducing sequences that last much longer than your average serial Drama. Youll remember listening open-mouthed at the exchanges between Walter and Gustavo; youll remember rocking in mirth whenever Saul Goodman delivered his two cents. But then every now and again, youll remember horrified you were by a sudden and unexpected act of extreme violence. Breaking Bad might just have some of the greatest carnage Ive ever seen on TV, made all the better by how limited it is, how little of it happens. Its not an all-out gorefest, which desensitizes us past caring. Breaking Bads carnage is fully earned. Death is dealt only when death is necessary, but when it happens, jesus christ, it really does happen. Lets take a look at what has probably been the most insane, horrific carnage of the series so far: http://youtu.be/R6CjCEyAJ2s
