Breaking Bad: 10 Worst Things Gus Fring Has Ever Done

9. Deporting His Entire Workforce

By season four in the show, the working relationship between Walt and Gus had reached an irredeemable point, with the pair constantly looking to out-manouever and oust each other.

In episode six of the season, Walt is shown hiring three women Gus has employed at the laundry facility to clean the lab for him in what was undoubtedly an attempted power move in making him watch as he hired out his own workforce. Interestingly, the woman are initially hesitant, saying that they're not allowed to go downstairs and showing the vetting process Gus goes through in keeping his cover-up. Eventually, however, Walt sways them.

It is later revealed by Gus that he deported his entire workforce on the back of this supposed "security risk".

It's one of the more forgettable chapters in Walt and Gus' cat-and-mouse game the pair played in the show but does demonstrate how the two view the people around them as little more than pawns to be moved about. The fact that Gus is willing to deport an entire workforce on the back of such a small job also just reaffirms his cold business-first approach to his operations.
