Breaking Bad: 10 Worst Things Walter White Has Ever Done
6. He Got Hank And Steve Killed
The awful things that Hank went through while chasing Heisenberg only got worse once he found out it was actually his brother-in-law all along. As soon as he figured out who he was really chasing, Hank became more determined than ever to catch him.
As the show was gearing up towards its conclusion, Hank had Jesse on his side in his war against Walt, and was closer than ever to taking him down. After putting a tracker on his car, Hank and Jesse came up with a plan to lure Walt to the burial site of his millions in the desert. A plan that the genius Heisenberg fell for hook, line, and sinker.
When Walt thought it was just Jesse on his way to the site, he called Jack to put a bullet in his former partner's head. However this was the biggest mistake he could have made, because Jesse wasn't alone, Hank and Steve Gomez were on their way too.
Though he tried to tell Jack not to come, the fatal error had already been made, and although Hank and Steve were important to Walt, they were just DEA agents to Jack. The enemy. Gomey was shot down in the firefight that ensued, but Hank stubbornly survived long enough to dare Jack to shoot him in the head. Heisenberg was forced to watch his brother-in-law murdered knowing full well it was his fault.
