For such a dark show, Breaking Bad was pretty damn hilarious at times. Badger and Skinny Pete were a prime source of laughs throughout the series, their sporadic appearances always accompanied by comic relief in some form or another. Who could forget Badger attempting to sell meth to an undercover cop, or Skinny Pete unexpectedly busting out some masterful piano skills? Their crowning moment came in the series finale, in which Walt had Elliot and Gretchen threatened by his unseen snipers, a pair of sinister red dots floating over their terrified bodies. Of course, the gunmen turned out to be Jesse's stoner pals, armed with nothing more than a pair of laser pens. Comic relief characters are often natural cult heroes, and this proved true in the case of Badger and Skinny Pete too. But their performances justified such popularity, as the series saw both actors (Matt L. Jones and Charles Barker) challenged to convey a variety of emotions - from juvenile jubilation to sheer grief.
