Breaking Bad: 25 Greatest Moments

1. Walt Gets His Revenge and Saves Jesse

NazishootoutAs Seen In: Season 5 Episode 16: "Felina" Throughout the finale we were shown Walt's efforts at tying up all the loose ends before he dies. He finds a way for Flynn to receive the money he has left, he says goodbye to Skyler, sees Holly one last time, poisons Lydia, and then goes after Jack and Todd, who stole $70 million from him and killed Hank. Along the way he discovers that Jesse is there as well, though he doesn't know that he's there against his will. Walt devises an ingenious plan to hide a machine gun in his trunk that will go off remotely at the touch of a button, and after diving on top of Jesse to protect him from the blast, fires and kills the whole gang. Jesse strangles Todd, and Walt shoots Jack point blank in the face. The two then have a short standoff, before Jesse drops the gun, hops in a car, and races out of the compound, leaving the meth world behind him. Walt ends up taking a bullet while on top of Jesse, thus sacrificing himself to save the person he's put through hell. With all of his affairs handled, Walt takes one more look around the meth lab before collapsing and dying just as police storm the complex. And there you have it! 25 brilliant moments from one of the greatest shows in television history. Vince Gilligan never failed to deliver a fresh, exciting, and gripping tale each year as Walter White transformed into Heisenberg, and then fought his way back to make things right. It's been a hell of a ride, and though I've detailed 25 of the show's best moments in this article, I know there are dozens more that I missed.
