2. Walt Admits That He Did It All For Himself
As Seen In: Season 5 Episode 16: "Felina" Walt has repeatedly justified his horrible acts by explaining that he was doing it for his family. Then, in the series finale, he finds Skyler and has one final talk with her so that he can say a proper goodbye. He begins to speak about his actions, to which she says, "If I have to hear one more time... that you did this for the
family..." to which he interjects, "I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it. And I was... really... I was alive." It's such a small but great moment, because it's what the audience has known all along. Walt may have got into this with the best intentions, but he stuck with it because he loved the power, and couldn't get enough of it. Sure, he may have thought this whole time that he was doing it for them, but the fact that he's finally come to terms with his true motivations just goes to show the transformation he's gone through over this final season.
