Breaking Bad: 25 Greatest Moments

24. The Bathtub Incident

BathtubAs Seen In: Season 1 Episode 2: "Cat's in the Bag..." Walt and Jesse were forced to kill a drug dealer, Emilio, in the pilot, and are now faced with the task of disposing of the body. Walt leaves Jesse with directions on how to dissolve the body in hydrochloric acid, which he steals from the lab at the High School. Jesse grows frustrated when he can't seem to find a container that fits Walt's specifications, and decides to take matters into his own hands. He drags the body upstairs and puts it in the bathtub, which he fills with the acid. Walt arrives, and as Jesse mocks him for being so picky about needing a plastic tub, the body comes crashing through the floor, falling from the second story onto the room below, covering it in blood and body parts. The scene remains one of the show's most shocking and hilarious moments, and gave us our first glimpse at the tumultuous mentor/student relationship that Walt and Jesse would struggle with throughout the course of the show.
