Breaking Bad: 5 Ways The Show Could End

4. Jesse Kills Walt

Breaking Bad 58405 The choice fans have been gunning for. No one has suffered more at Walt's hands. All of the torture Jesse has gone through over the past 5 seasons can be traced back to Walt. Gale's murder, Brock's poisoning, Jane's death. All these factors have added fuel to Jesse's fire. Jesse was already willing to kill Walt after learning about Brock. And now he knows about Jane. Just imagine how much MORE willing to kill Walt he is now. Walt's reveal was the final knife in Jesse's back, the culmination of all of Walt's sadistic manipulations of Jesse. And now Jesse knows it all. What's to stop Jesse from coming after Walt guns blazing? Well, his current predicament as Todd's meth slave for one thing. But he'll get out of that situation somehow. The writers know better than to leave Jesse to die at the hands of deranged, sociopathic Todd, and Jesse has grown too much to be offed in such a disrespectful way. If Jesse does die, it should be in a final showdown with Walt, and no one else. Admittedly, Jesse's months of imprisonment will probably throw a monkey wrench in his animosity towards Walt. With Andria's death at Todd's hands, I suspect Todd will have replaced Walt on Jesse's revenge radar, so I'm now betting on a final Walt and Jesse team-up against the neo-Nazis. With Walt presumably on his way to get his money back and take care of the gang, he's bound to come across poor, imprisoned Jesse, and they'll probably team-up for one final awesome round of bad guy slaughter. But what then? If Jesse and Walt wind up the last men standing, they will have to turn and face each other. Will they forgive and forget, or have a final Western showdown to the death? Walt seems restored to his former mild-mannered self (but with guns) and he may want to make peace with Jesse. But will Jesse want to make peace? Perhaps. Jesse could want a clean slate, and the most final way to achieve that will be to get rid of the man who wrecked his life. In fact, judging from Walt's turn-around, I can see Walt offering himself to Jesse freely. He knows he's going to die from cancer anyway, and with his family gone, perhaps he'll decide to die in the most honorable way he can. If he truly means to repent, he can do so by giving Jesse the justice he deserves. Hell, maybe Jesse will just shoot Walt in the head immediately. That would be kind of awesome. Can't you just imagine one of those Jesse lines? "Peace, bitch." BANG! I can already hear fans cheering. Certainly after all Jesse's been through, he deserves to win in the battle against Walt. More importantly, he deserves a happy ending. It would be cruel to kill someone as good and decent as Jesse Pinkman, and I think Gilligan knows that. It's unlikely Jesse's death would serve a true purpose for the show - unlike Hank's death, which put all the pieces in place. Killing Jessie would seem to serve as little more than shock value. So I think Jesse is in the clear. And if he kills Walt, it would be the ending that most fans want. Then again, maybe the writers will choose a less obvious angle. One that's been a silent possibility since the very beginning...

I'm an all-around film enthusiast - always have been, always will be. When I'm not writing about movies I'm sitting in a dark room watching one on my laptop. You might also find me at the local movie theater watching Christopher Nolan's new movie for the 80th time. I'm the guy in the back wearing the "It kept spinning" t-shirt. I also just started a blog called "The Dream Factory," in which I post video reviews of the latest TV shows and movies. So hopefully if you like the way I write, you'll love the way I talk.
