Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best
16. Howard Hamlin
The senior partner of the law firm Hamlin Hamlin McGill in Better Call Saul, Howard Hamlin is one of those underrate characters who's never been given the appreciation he deserves for his complexity and development.
Introduced as an arrogant and opportunistic lawyer, Howard often deviates between being a conniving antagonist railing against Jimmy McGill, and a passionate lawyer who genuinely cares for those closest to him.
This last part is particularly true of his relationship with his mentor and business partner Chuck McGill, who helps form the bulk of Howard's development. He's straight-laced and deeply emotional, and though he's sometimes kept outside the main drama, his subtle character growth has been astounding to see.
