Breaking Bad: Each Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best
1. Jesse Pinkman
Though Walter White remains one of TV's best-ever characters, it is the complex, tragic Jesse Pinkman who takes the top spot here. A naive, innocent, drug-addicted failure who started the show as a small-time meth cook and soon found himself roped into Walt's growing empire, Jesse's arc was truly on a par with Walt's.
From his shouts of "Yeah, science!" to his frequent use of the word "Bitch," to his battle with addiction and his growth from moral wannabe drug dealer to depressed murderer, there was no aspect of Jesse Pinkman's character that hit a wrong note. He was at once the show's most innocent figure, and its most manipulated and beaten down.
With a career-best performance from Aaron Paul, a performance so powerful it often rivalled Cranston's, and an arc that ends with him tortured and broken, Jesse represented the destructive nature of Walt White's actions, and honestly, it's just a relief he got his happy ending in El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.
Breaking Bad has had many fantastic characters, but none quite as fully-formed and compelling as Jesse Pinkman.
