Breaking Bad: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

4. Season 3

Breaking Bad Walt Jesse
AMC

By the time most of us got to Season 3, we had sort an of idea to how the world of Breaking Bad operates. Having just been introduced to the darker side of life with last season's plane crash, this was the moment where we saw just how twisted Walt's lies could get if they went too far. So when you look at Season 3, it seems to have a lot more breathing room than the rest of the series.

Compared to the exposition that you got from the earlier seasons or the roller coaster ride of the last few episodes of the show, there's a lot more downtime in this season than you might expect. You definitely have your high tension moments like Hank almost nabbing Jesse and Walt in the back of the RV, but you also have episodes like Fly that are just centered around Walt trying to kill a fly in Gus' lab.

Then again, these slower moments end up working in the seasons' favor, giving us more insight into Jesse's soul while also showing how far Walt is willing to go down into his sea of lies. For the last episodes like Half Measures and Full Measure though, you knew that something even bigger was going to be in store for the rest of the series. Once you hear that final shot from Jesse's gun ring out to close the season, you knew things were never going to be the same.
