Breaking Bad Season 5: 10 Things That Must Happen Before It Ends

6. Jesse Is The New Heisenberg

There would be a certain poetic beauty to the "passing of the torch" if the show ends with Walt's death, retirement or exile, and the mantle passes to Jesse as the new drug kingpin. While one would like to imagine a more prosperous, optimistic future for Jesse, given his more likable qualities than Walt, his addictive personality and lack of general employability, combined with the adrenaline-infused allure of the business makes this unlikely. It would provide some tantalising possibilities beyond the bounds of the show, given Jesse's relative immaturity and erratic, even naive attitude to problem solving. That said, if he could rope Mike in as an enforcer, than he might have a fighting chance.
