Broadchurch: 5 Predictions For Who Murdered Danny

Tom Miller

tom miller broadchurch Like Reverend Paul Coates, Tom Miller, a classmate of Danny and son of DS Ellie Miller, has been a regular fixture on our screens, however he is yet to come to the fore. The young boy certainly has plenty of suspicious tendencies though. His probing questions about what would happen to the killer were weird at least, while the fact he deleted all texts and emails from Danny just after his apparent friend had died certainly raised a few eyebrows. His attempt to smash up his laptop and the fact that he declared he hated Danny all along anyway have lead some to wonder if Broadchurch is heading down a dark path, starting with one 11-year-old dead and finishing with another revealed as a killer. The cliffhanger of episode seven saw DI Hardy have a moment of revelation when he finally got hold of the recovered emails from Tom's computer. Did the emails show Toms guilt? What could drive an 11-year-old to kill? It all seems too dark and too impossible, especially for the mainstream media. Plus how would Tom have driven the boat to the beach, arranged Danny's body and then set fire to the boat? Surely you would need to be a grown man for all that? What is perhaps much more likely, is that Tom is trying to cover for someone much closer to home. More on that next... Did he kill Danny? The chances of the Broadchurch writers revealing an 11-year-old to be their brutal killer are just too slim. But did he have some role to play in the murder or in the attempt to hide it? Perhaps. Suspect rating: 2/10
