Broadchurch Finale: 12 Questions That Still Need Answering

4. Will Joe Come Back?

While he was packed off in his taxi to Bournemouth by Paul, and spirited away to Sheffield by the Church (on some sort of priest social network), Joe has every reason not to believe that his exile from Broadchurch will be permanent. He shouldn't care what the residents will do to him, because as far as he's concerned, the law is on his side, and though his wife threatened him with death, he could quite easily report as much. And then there's the question of him being a genuine danger to children (something probably not lost in critics of the church's backing of shady figures in the past). If he was indeed the killer, then he's probably a paedophile (or at least that's how it should be viewed for the safety of others. Isn't just sending him away a little short-sighted of the Broadchurch mob?
