Broadchurch Finale: 12 Questions That Still Need Answering

2. What Happens To Nige And Mark Now?

Surely someone is going to have to look at Mark Latimer a little more closely now that Joe has been cleared of the murder, and there's some compelling evidence to suggest he might have been involved (at least in the eyes of the jury)? And then there's Nige: accused of moving Danny's body by his own - admittedly unhinged - mother. If the court has "proved" that it wasn't Joe who moved the body, surely the police have a duty to look at all the other bald men in Broadchurch, even if his mother's testimony is under any doubt. So no matter how "happy" the ending looked, Mark's probably going to be at least questioned further by the police who fundamentally don't have a solution to the murder.
