Broadchurch Finale: 12 Questions That Still Need Answering

12. Did Joe Even Do It?

It might seem a redundant question, since Mr Miller admitted his guilt in the finale of season one, but there is still scope to believe that he was protecting someone else, or that something else happened. The judicial system seems to believe he's not guilty, at the very least, even if mob justice prevailed by the end. And if not him, then who? Tom seems the most likely candidate, since everyone else pretty much has an alibi or has been explained away: there's every possibility that the lad's conviction that his Dad was innocent came from his own guilt? Maybe there is more to this tale than has so far been revealed.
