Brooklyn Nine-Nine: 10 Best Halloween Heist Moments
2. Holt Plays Jake Like Frans Brüggen Plays The Flute (Halloween II)
Though
Jake had been planning the second Halloween Heist for three months in the run-up to the big day, Holt began
preparing the moment he lost the year before. He manipulated Jake over the next
12 months, and in spite of Peralta thinking he had the entire squad on his side
again, Holt knew better.
The scene was set in much the same way as the year before. Jake had planned for everything to ‘go wrong’ for him previously, but this time it was Holt who pulled all the strings to actually ruin his plan. They were sat in the exact same positions as last time, but the tables had very much turned.
This was where Holt deliciously explained to Jake everything that had happened, and how he was behind everything. Even the criminal Jake brought into his team wasn’t to be trusted, something which his Captain explained with no small amount of smugness, arrogance, and glee, made all the sweeter after his defeat the year before.
The best part of the whole thing was the reveal of the second watch. The original never left Holt’s person, Jake’s mind was blown, and the audience’s with him. Jake got the jump on him previously, but Holt proved this year that he was not to be messed with.
